Anyone who knows me is fully aware of my obsession with Lanolips. It's almost an unhealthy obsession to be quite honest. Whenever someone new starts at Adore Beauty, it's the first product I tell them to buy, and my go-to recommendation when someone tells me they've tried everything for their dry lips (when they clearly haven't tried Lano).
So you can probably imagine my excitement levels when I discovered Lanolips was releasing a lip scrub. I think I let out a little squeal. But what I've failed to mention until now, is that this lip scrub is also a balm.

Tell Me More:

Ok, so usually I rely on the elf Lip Exfoliator (which is still an excellent and affordable option for very stubborn dry flakes), but I was on the search for a scrub I could use on-the-go and leave on my lips without being detected. And that's where Lanolips Lanostick Lemonaid Scrubba Balm comes in.
  • A balm & scrub hybrid, this formula works to tackle dry & flaky pouts
  • It contains natural, extra-fine sugar crystals to buff away unwanted texture from the lips
  • The gentle formula doesn't leave the lips feeling sore, or disrupt the fragile lip surface
  • Comes in a wind-up stick format for easy application
  • Features Lanolips classic Lemonaid flavour & scent

What's In It?

Well, lanolin of course. If you're not up to speed with what lanolin does, it defends your lips from environmental damage, while hydrating and sealing in moisture, creating a breathable barrier over the skin. Lanolin is a 100% natural wax sourced ethically from sheep’s wool.
The formula of Lanolips Lanostick Lemonaid Scrubba Balm also contains additional natural waxes to prevent moisture loss, lemon oil and orange peel to gently exfoliate away dead skin, and omega-rich avocado and jojoba oils to keep the delicate skin nourished and protected.

What's The Verdict?

As a super-fan of Lanolips, I'll try not to be too biased. This is a really nice lip scrub - one that you'll want to reach for to keep flakiness at bay. I love that it can be left on to work its magic without visible "scrubby bits", and harnesses the hydration of a balm at the same time.
It is less abrasive than the elf Lip Exfoliator (which I still reserve for when I need something more hardcore before applying a matte lipstick), so I'd say it's suited for daily use, however a scrub shouldn't be used on broken skin or irritated/sensitised lips, so stick to the 101 Ointment in that case.
I also really like the Lemonaid flavour and scent of the Scrubba Balm, it's light and refreshing - perfect for the warmer months ahead.
