The Beauty Beginner's Shortcut To Eyeshadow
Eyeshadow seems to be something a lot of us struggle with perfecting. That, and contouring, but you can learn more about that here. It might surprise you to learn that eyeshadow isn't as tricky as it seems, especially if you're equipped with the right products to make the job easier.
In my opinion, the age of cut creases and carefully placed shadow are over, and we're moving into a trend of washes of colour over the lids, soft blending and hints of shimmer. An essential I like to keep on hand is Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick, which happens to be excellent for beauty beginners.
What Is It?
Much like the name suggests, it's a creamy shadow stick that can be used as an eyeshadow, smokey liner, eye topper or lid base. In fact, if you've got multiple colours, you can use it for all of the above at the same time. Does that sound easier than navigating a palette of 12 different shades?

How To Use:
Trust me, Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stickis foolproof. These handy sticks can be used to shade, define, smoke out and highlight the eyes. My tip is to have 2-3 shades handy to help customise your looks, my favourites being Shadow, Taupe and Golden Pink.
As a lid base: simply swipe on a neutral shade like Vanilla, which will act as a long-wearing base for powder shadows, intensify colour payoff and increase longevity.
As a cream shadow: using a shade of your choice, apply across the whole lid directly from the stick and blend out any harsh edges out with your fingertips.
As a smokey liner: generously apply a deep shade like Shadow along the upper lash line (after you've put down a base colour over the lid) and blend out with a brush or fingertips.
As an eye topper: for a touch of shimmer, use a shade like Sunlight Gold over your whole lid, or simply dab into the centre of the upper lid for a highlighted effect.

This goes on smoothly and you can use your fingers though I prefer a brush. Long wearing, blends beautifully and you can get a gorgeous soft smoky eye using other colours in the range. Would highly recommend and buy again. Worth every penny. I got taupe and will be going dark with shadow or bark next time.
